It was a cool, overcast, grey kinda day today (perfect for a chill indoor activity) so my love and I decided to partake in some art. We live near downtown Los Angeles so the MOCA is always a good nearby option for us, and across the street is the Broad – both amazing contemporary art museums to visit when you are in the LA area. There were a few new exhibits as of March, including a new favorite painter/artist of mine – Kerry James Marshall. His exhibition is entitled “Mastry”. His work is both beautiful, colorful, articulate and powerful! I could def see his work hanging on the walls of our home. My fiance and I loved this entire exhibition. Please check it out if and when you’re in town. You won’t be disappointed 😉

Last year I had the pleasure of visiting an exhibit dedicated to one of my favorite designers, the inventor of the classic, sophisticated, feminine wrap dress… Diane Von Furstenberg.

The exhibit was entitled Diane Von Furstenberg: Journey of a dress, held at the LACMA museum. I, of course, am wearing one of my favorite DVF dresses in one of her vintage prints. I love clothing with versatility! And the wrap dress provides plenty of it. You can wear this dress casually, dressy, with heels or flats, tights or bare legs, to work or to a party, in the spring, summer, fall, or winter! 😉

For more information regarding this exhibit go here.

And make sure to look out for more amazing exhibits at the LACMA museum when you’re in the Los Angeles Area. It’s one of my favorite places to go for inspiration.
